Setting Up BusyBot

Setting Up BusyBot

Get started with BusyBot, the AI assistant built into every BusyBots organization.

BusyBot is the AI assistant that comes with every BusyBots organization — no separate setup or agent creation required. It's already there, ready to help you work your CRM by voice or text.

Prerequisites

  • A BusyBots organization with at least one team member

Where to find BusyBot

BusyBot is available in three places:

  1. Dashboard chat — go to BusyBot in your dashboard sidebar for a streaming chat interface with full conversation history.
  2. Voice widget — a floating voice/text assistant available throughout the dashboard for hands-free control.
  3. Telegram — message BusyBot directly from Telegram once you've linked your account. See Connecting Telegram.

What you can ask BusyBot to do

BusyBot has direct, org-scoped access to your CRM data and can take action on your behalf:

  • "Look up John Smith's contact record"
  • "Create a new deal for Acme Corp worth $5,000"
  • "What's my call volume this week?"
  • "Summarize my last 5 calls with sentiment"
  • "Add a note to this contact"
  • "Generate a PDF report on my pipeline"

See BusyBot Tools for the full breakdown of what BusyBot can query and mutate.

How BusyBot learns your organization

BusyBot automatically pulls relevant context from your organization's knowledge base before responding — call transcripts, contact notes, uploaded documents, and more. You don't need to explicitly point it at data; it retrieves what's relevant to your question automatically. See Knowledge Base.

Verification

Open the BusyBot dashboard chat and ask "What can you help me with?" You should get a response describing its capabilities, streamed in real time.

Troubleshooting

BusyBot doesn't know about a recent conversation. New content is indexed into the knowledge base shortly after a conversation ends — there may be a brief delay before it's searchable.

BusyBot gives a generic answer instead of using my data. Be specific in your question (names, dates, deal titles) — this helps BusyBot's retrieval step find the right context.
